1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the inewme App (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our mobile application and connected devices. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable global data protection laws. This Privacy Policy applies globally unless otherwise specified in regional addenda.

2. Information We Collect

Account & Profile Information

Phone number, login credentials, third-party login identifiers (Google, Apple ID), nickname, gender, date of birth, skin type, skincare goals.

Device & Connectivity Data

Bluetooth identifiers (e.g., MAC address), device pairing tokens, device status (battery level, spray mode), error logs.

Camera & Analysis Data

Facial images captured for skin condition analysis. We do not perform facial recognition or identity verification. Processing occurs on-device and/or via secure cloud servers solely to generate analysis reports. Images and results are not used for advertising or unrelated profiling.

Hydration & Skincare Records

Test results, hydration events, usage trends, and skincare product records (including photos for product recognition).

Environment & Location Data

Temperature/humidity signals from the device or mobile OS; if enabled, coarse location for selecting climate profile. Not used for advertising.

Notifications & Preferences

Push notification tokens, reminder settings (Hydration, skincare test, environment alerts).

Cloud Photo Backup (Optional)

If enabled, analysis images are encrypted and stored on secure servers. Disabling backup stops new uploads until you re-enable the feature. Disabling backup does not delete previously uploaded photos. Previously uploaded photos remain stored unless you delete your account, in which case all associated personal data will be permanently erased.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide personalized skincare analysis and recommendations.
  • Sync app data with inewme devices.
  • Enable product recognition and skincare library management.
  • Deliver reminders and notifications.
  • Improve services and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Secure accounts and prevent fraud.

4. Sharing of Information

  • Service Providers: Hosting, analytics, and customer support vendors.
  • Third-Party SDKs: For login (Apple ID, Google Sign-In), analytics (Firebase Analytics / GA4), or notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
  • Legal Authorities: If required by law or legal process.

We do not sell or “share” personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Data Retention

Hydration and skincare records are retained until you delete them in-app or permanently delete your account.

If you delete individual analysis records in-app, they will no longer be visible to you, but may persist in secure system backups for a reasonable period, unless law requires earlier deletion.

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide our Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • Request data portability.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Limit or object to processing of sensitive data (e.g., facial images, skin condition analysis results).

7. Security

We use encryption, access controls, and monitoring to safeguard your data. No system is 100% secure, but we implement measures aligned with industry best practices.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we apply safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). For users in the EU or U.S., data may be processed in regional data centers where feasible.

9. Eligibility & Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. In certain jurisdictions, additional age thresholds may apply for specific features; see our Privacy Policy for details, especially regarding parental consent requirements. Our Services are not directed to children under 13.

10. Children’s Privacy

Globally: We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 without parental consent.

U.S.: See U.S. Addendum below (special protections for children under 13 under COPPA).

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we will notify you via in-app notice or email.

U.S. Addendum – Privacy Policy

This Addendum supplements the Global Privacy Policy for users in the United States.

1. California Residents – CCPA/CPRA

  • Right to Know: Request categories and specific pieces of data collected, sources, purposes, and disclosures.
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal data, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell or share personal information. If practices change, an opt-out mechanism will be provided.
  • Right to Limit Sensitive Data Use: Sensitive data (e.g., facial images, skin condition analysis results) is used only for core services, not for advertising or profiling.
  • Authorized Agent: You may appoint an agent to exercise rights on your behalf with proper proof.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor GPC browser signals as opt-out requests.
  • Non-Discrimination: Exercising rights will not result in discriminatory treatment.

2. Children’s Privacy – COPPA

  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verified parental consent.
  • If collected inadvertently, data will be deleted promptly.
  • Parents/guardians may request access, correction, or deletion of a child’s data via service@inewme.com.
